The gas should be heated at 1728K.
Given: A gas 'x' at 15 C is heated until its pressure doubles and volume triples from the original pressure and volume and the original volume are 1000cc.
To find: We have to find the temperature to which it should be heated.
Solution:
According to gas law, we can write-
Where P1 is the initial pressure of the gas which is equal to p.
V1 is the initial volume of the gas which is 1000cc.
T1 is the initial temperature of the gas which is (273+15)=288K.
P2 is the final pressure of the gas which is 2 times P1.
V2 is the final volume of the gas which is 3 times 1000cc.
T2 is the final temperature.
Let final temperature be x.
Thus we can write-
Thus, the gas should be heated at 1728K.
