A gas X has react with lime water and forms compound Y which is used as bleaching agent in the chemical industry identify X&Y

hi There,
The gas X would be Chlorine gas

and Y would be calcium hypochlorite [Z]

when the X & lime water reacts it produce a bleaching agent Z.
