Codominance

The term that  best describes the relationship between the two alleles is Codominance.

In heterozygotes, codominance refers to features that are expressed at the same time (individuals with one copy of each allele). Both the yellow and white kernels are expressed in the phenotypic in this situation.

Blood type is a common codominant trait in people that you can't really see by looking at them, but that many people are aware of. One A allele and one B allele are found in people with the blood type AB. Their blood type is AB because both alleles are expressed at the same time.
