Since it is a square, the area of a square is 's²' or 'side * side',

 \sqrt{36581} = 191.261

So, he can only arrange 191 soldiers

191^2 = 36481

Time to find how many soldiers are left!

36581 - 36481 = 100

=\ \textgreater \ 100
