answer is d.

first u need to find the current.
then by using it we need to find the voltage.
hope the solution is helpful.

Answer:

a) 220 volts

Explanation:

EMF of the generator = EMF = E = 440 V (Given)

Internal Resistance = RI = 4000 Ω (Given)

External Resistance = RE = 4000 Ω (Given)

Following the equation of resistance -

I = E/(Ri + Re)

I = 440 / (4000 + 4000)

I = 440/8000 A

Voltage across load Re = I × Re

= (440/8000) × 4000

= 440/2

= 220  V

Therefore, the voltage across the load  is 220 volts.
