A geostationary satellite is moving in a circular orbit at a height of 3600 kilometre from the surface of earth.calculate its speed if it takes 24 hours to revolve around the earth?(radius of the earth =6400 km).answer In m/s?​

The radius of the orbit =  radius of the earth + height of the satellite above the

                                                                             earth’s surface

The radius of the orbit = 6400 + 36000 = 42400 km

Circumference of the orbit = 2πR

 

                                           = 2x3.14x42400

                                           = 266272 km

Speed = Distance/Time

          = 266272/24

 = 11094.67 km/h
