Since geostationary satellite is stationary relative to the earth, its angular velocity must be same as that o earth both in magnitude and direction. Hence it must rotate in a circular orbit in equitorial plane.

Total energy has to remain constant  in all the cases by the law of energy conservation.

Angular momentum about the centre of earth will remain constant sicnce no torque of gravitational force applies about this point and hence L is constant.

Orbital speed remains constant in circular orbit since the speed depends on distance by angular momentum conservation. This may be established both in equitorial or non equitorial plane.
