A gift kept in cuboidal box with edge 10 cm is to be packed with a handmade paper. find the amount of paper used to pack the gift.

the amount of paper needed is equal to the surface are of the box
=2*(length* breadth+breadth*height+height*length)
=2*(100+100+100)
=2*300
=600cm^2

You need to cover all the surfaces of the cubical box. So you need to find the total surface area of the cube.
side, l = 10cm
TSA = 6l² = 6×10² = 6×100 = 600cm²

You need 600cm² of paper to cover the box.
