A gift pack is in cuboidal shape of dimensions 1.5 m, 0.75 m, 0.5 m. Tanya didn’t like the paper

wrapped on the gift pack, so she removed it and wrapped the gift pack with a paper of her choice

but left the base, which she says will fill with her name. The difference of area of wrapping papers

used is (ignore the extra paper used to mould the corners.)

(a) 1.125 cm2

(b) 0.375 cm2

(c) 0.75 m2

(d) 2.75 m2

Answer:

Given l=1.5m,b=0.75m,h=0.5mWe know that Total surface area of a cuboidal =2(lb+bh+hl)=2[(1.5times 0.75)+(0.75times 0.5)+(1.5times 0.5)]=2[1.125+0.375+0.75]=2[2.
