To Find: Total amount of cloth bought.

Solution:

Length of cloth bought for shirt= $\frac{11}{2}$ m

Length of cloth bought for kurta= $\frac{21}{4}$ m

∴ Total amount of cloth bought= $(\frac{11}{2} +\frac{21}{4})$ m

                                                   = $(\frac{11\times2+21\times1}{4})$ m

                                                   = $(\frac{22+21}{4})$ m

                                                   = $\frac{43}{4}$ m

                                                   = $10\frac{3}{4}$ m

Answer: She bought $10\frac{3}{4}$ m of cloth.
