Given: Length of cloth bought for shirt= \frac{11}{2} m

Length of cloth bought for kurta= \frac{21}{4} m

To Find: Total amount of cloth bought.

Solution:

Length of cloth bought for shirt= \frac{11}{2} m

Length of cloth bought for kurta= \frac{21}{4} m

∴ Total amount of cloth bought= (\frac{11}{2} +\frac{21}{4}) m

                                                   = (\frac{11\times2+21\times1}{4}) m

                                                   = (\frac{22+21}{4}) m

                                                   = \frac{43}{4} m

                                                   = 10\frac{3}{4} m

Answer: She bought 10\frac{3}{4} m of cloth.
