A girl carries a 10kg bag upstairs to a height of 18 steps, each 20cm high. Calculate the amount of work she has done to carry the bag.​

Answer:

Mass (m) = 10 kg

Height (h) = 20 cm * 18 Steps

= (20/100) m * 18 Steps

= 3.6 m

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s²

∴ Work Done = Force*Displacement

= (mg) * h

= 10*9.8*3.6 J

= 352.8 J is the Work Done.
