Hello Buddy!

The Answer is 4 seconds.

Formula=

               Given,

          Distance= 1200 m.

           Velocity= 600m/s

                Time=     ?

The Distance TO the cliff is 1200 m. So, when the sound reflects, it again covers 1200 m. for coming back.

      So,

      Total Distance = Distance*2

      Total Distance = 1200 m.*2 = 2400 m.

      Now,

      Time = Distance/Speed or Distance/Velocity

             t = d/s or d/v

             t = 2400/600

               = 4 seconds.

Thus, the time taken for hearing the echo is 4 seconds.

Hope it Helped!
