To find :
- Power
Solution :
The work done by the body to climb the rope will be equal to it's potential energy .
⇒ W = PE
⇒ W = m x g x h
here ,
- W = work
- m = mass
- g = acceleration due to gravity
- h = height
⇒ W = 50 x 10 x 8
⇒ W = 4000 J
Now,
As per the formula ,
⇒ P= W / t
here ,
- P = power
- W = work
- t = time
⇒ P = 4000 / 10
⇒ P = 400 W
The power expended by the girl is 400 W .
