a girl drove to a hospital from her home . the odometer reading of her car increased by 12 km . if trip took 18 min then if she returned home by same path in 2 hr 20 min what was her average speed for intire trip what was her displacement and total distance travelled?

Answer:

Explanation:

• Distance travelled by the girl - 12 km

• Time taken - 18 min

18 min = 18/60 (to convert minute into hours divide the number by 60) = 0.3 hours

• Average speed = s/t

12/0.3 = 40 km/h

__________________________

• If she returned home by same path in 2 hour 20 min , her average speed for the entire trip is ....

• Total time taken = 2 hour 20 minutes.

• 20 min = 20/60 ( convert into hour and then add the answer with 2 hour we get the total time ) = 0.3 + 2 = 2.3 hour

• Total distance = 12 + 12 = 24 km

• Average speed = 24 km/2.3 hr

=10.43 km/hr

_____________________________

• Total displacement = 0 (as initial velocity and final velocity are same)

• Average velocity = total displacement/time taken

=0
