So
10cm = 10×10
= 100mm
Let's add all books together to get the height of the pile of books
22mm+13mm+39mm+18mm
= 35 mm + 57mm
= 92mm
This means
100 mm > 92 mm
Area in shelf > pile of books .
Simple common sense , it can fit in shelf obviously .
