a girl if mass 40 kg sit on the trolley of mass 5kg. The initial speed of the trolley is 5 metre per second when the force is applied the trolley comes to the rest after travelling the distance of 10.(1) find the work done on the trolley.(2)find the work done by the girl on the trolley.​

mass of trolley=5kg

total mass=40kg

initial velocity of trolley u=4ms−1

final velocity of trolley v=0ms−1

distance s=16m

we know,

v2−u2=2as

a=2sv2−u2

=−2×1616

a=−21ms−2

Force=ma=40×(−0.5)

          =-20N

work is done on the trolley=20N×16m=320 J.

work was done by the girl =0 J.
