A girl instead of distributing sweets on her birthday decides to distribute apples in various organizations. Half the apples she distributed in an orphanag e, three fourths of the remaining in a school for blind and the rest 20 were distributed to the poor children. Find the number of apples she had. b) If one child gets one apple, then how many children will get apples in the blind school?​

•apples distributed in an orphanage = 1/2of x =x/2

•apples in school = 3/4 of x/2( the other remaining half of x)

•apples for poor children= 20

Therefore, we know

sum of apples distributed=total no of apples.

» x + 3x +20 = x

» 7x +160 = 8x

» 160 = 8x-7x

therefore x = 160 apples
