51

Step 1 : Define x

Let the present age of girl be x years

Given, a girl is 27 years younger than her father. This can also be considered as A father is 27 years older than her daughter.

So, let the present age of father be x + 27

After 3 years, age of father = x + 27 + 3 = x + 30 and age of daughter = x + 3

After 3 years, the sum of their ages will be 51

Step 2 : Find the value of x

x + 30 + x + 3 = 51

➾ 2x + 33 = 51

➾ 2x = 51 - 33

➾ 2x = 18

➾ x = \dfrac{18}{2}

➾ x = 9

Step 3 : Find their present ages

Present age of daughter ➾ x years

9 years

Present age of father ➾ x + 27

➾ 9 + 27

36 years

HIII MATE!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE

SOLUTION:-

LET THE PRESENT AGE OF GIRL BE x years

PRESENT AGE OF FATHER=x+27

AFTER 3 YEARS,

AFTER 3 YEARS AGE OF GIRL=x+3years

AGE OF FATHER AFTER 3 YEARS=x+27+3

NOW ATQ,

THE SUM OF AGES OF GIRL AND FATHER=51years

x + 3 + x + 27 + 3 = 51
2x + 33 = 51
2x = 51 - 33
2x = 18
x = 18 \div 2
x = 9

THEREFORE

PRESENT AGE OF GIRL=x=9years

PRESENT AGE OF FATHER=x+27=9+27=36

THANKS
I THINK IT HELPS...
