AB will be parallel to CD .

BD = 1.2 × 3 (speed×time) = 3.6 cm

BE = 3.6 + x

AB/CD = BE/DE=> 285/95 = (3.6 + x)/x

3x =3.6 + x =>x = 1.8 cm
