A girl of weight 400 N holding a bag of weight 40 N
on her head. If she is standing on semicircular heels
72
of periphery cm, then net pressure exerted on
the floor by the girl is
(1) 3.5x100
(2) 4.5x10^
(3) 2.75x100
(4) 3.75*10* N

net pressure exerted on the floor by the girl = 3.5 * 10⁵ N/m²

Step-by-step explanation:

2r + π r = 72/7

=> 2r + 22r/7  = 72/7

=> r  + 11r/7 = 36/7

=> 7r  + 11r = 36

=> 18r = 36

=> r = 2  cm

She must be Standing on two heels

Area of Both Heels = 2 * ( 1/2) π r²  =  88/7  cm²

Force = 400 + 40 = 440 N

Pressure - Force / Area = 440/(88/7)

= 5 * 7

= 35  N/cm²

1 cm² = 10⁻⁴ m²

= 35 / 10⁻⁴  N/m²

= 35 * 10⁴ N/m²

= 3.5 * 10⁵ N/m²

net pressure exerted on the floor by the girl = 3.5 * 10⁵ N/m²
