Given:

The difference in time between the two bangs is 1 s.

t2 – t1 = 1

we know that

\frac{distance }{time}=speed

so time=\frac{distance}{speed}

\frac{d2}{v}- \frac{d1}{v}=1

multiply both side by v

d2 - d1 = v

Where v is speed of sound in air.

d1 = 350 m

d2 = (150 × 2) + 350

     = 650 m

so v= d2 - d1

v=650 - 350

v= 300m/s

The correct option is "a"

Hence the speed of sound is 300m/s
