A girl starting from a point walks in a circular park of radius 70 m and comes back to
the same point. Is the distance covered and the displacement, the same? Justify.

Radius= 70m
Distance=2* \pi *r
              = 2*3.14*70
              =439.6 m
Displace=0m as the initial and final position are same.

439.6  \neq 0
hence, distance is not equal to displacement.

No, the distance covered and displacement is not the same because the displacement is the distance b/w the initial and final position. Here z the displacement is zero because the starting and the ending point of the girl is same whereas the distance is not equal to zero since its the circumference of the circle.
