Answer:

Distance = 160 metres

Displacement = 0 metres

Explanation:

Given :

  • Length of the swimming pool = 80 metres

  • The girl again comes back to the same place where she starts

  • She does this activity in a time period of 105 seconds

To find :

  • Distance travelled by the girl

  • Displacement of the girl

Distance will be equal to double the length of swimming pool as she would go and again come back to Initial position

Distance = 2×80

Distance = 160 metres

The distance covered by the girl is 160 metres

Displacement will be equal to 0 metres as the girl would again come back to the initial position, so the shortest distance covered will be equal to 0 metres
