Time taken to cover 12 km at the speed of 3 k/h = (12 km / 3 km) / hr = 4 hr.

1) If 12 km has to be covered in 3 hours then the speed of the girl should be = 12 km / 3 hours = 4 km/hr.

2)  If 12 km has to be covered in 5 hours then the speed of the girl should be = 12 km / 5 hours = 2.4 km/hr
