A girl walks along a straight path to drop a letter in the letterbox and comes back to her initial position. Her displacement–time graph is shown in Fig.8.4. Plot a velocity–time graph for the same.

From the graph of displacement time graph, we can interpret that initial velocity is 0 as displacement and time are 0 .

Velocity after 50 seconds;

= 100/50

=2 m/s

= velocity after 100sec

=zero

Velocity with time table is given below :

V 0 2 0

t 0 50 100
