A girl wearing a flat-heeled shoes steps on her friend, the friend feels a pain. When the same girl now wears a pointed-heeled shoes, her friend feels greater pain than the first.
Explain theoretically and analytically why the pain felt by the friend differs.
(Hint: physical quantities are expected to be involved including; Pressure,Area and Weight).

At first, when the girl is wearing flat heeled shoes, the area of the shoe in contact with the surface of the friends foot is more. Since the the area in contact is more, the pressure exerted is less.
In the second case, the pointed heel has less area in contact with the friend's foot. When the area in contact is less the pressure exerted due to the girl's weight (the weight is the force exerted) is much more and hence the friend feels more pain when stepped on by pointed heels
