Question :

A girl weighs 36 kg. She is standing on the ground . If area of either foot of kashvi is 150 cm ² , then calculate the pressure exerted by her on the ground.
Take g = 10 m/s ²

Answer :

Mass of girl = 36 kg .

g = 10 m/s²

Area of her either feet = 150 cm² = 150×10^-4 m²

Thrust , F = weight of the girl.

= mg = 36×10 = 360 N

Total area of her both feet = 2A = 2(150×10^-4) = 3×10 ^2 m²

Pressure = Thrust / Area = 360/3×10^-2 = 1.2×10⁴ Pa

So , the required pressure is = 1.2×10^-4 Pa .

Hey\:!!..

The answer goes here....

_______________________________________

Given,

Mass of girl = 36 kg

g = 10\:{ms}^{-1}

Area of feet = 150\:{cm}^{2} = 150\times {10}^{-4}{m}^{2}

Here,

F = mg

F = 36\times 10

F = 360\:N

Now, the total area of both feets -

2\times 150\times {10}^{-4}

3\times {10}^{2}{m}^{2}

Now, we know that -

Pressure = \frac{Thrust}{Area}

Pressure = \frac{360}{3\times {10}^{2}}

Pressure = 1.2\times {10}^{4} Pa

So, the pressure exerted by her on the ground is 1.2\times {10}^{4} Pa.
