Answer:

Let me lead you to the solution;

In the first 2 hours the girl was riding at a speed of 10km/h this means that she covered a distance of 20 kilometers.

In the next 3 hours she cycled at a speed of 15km/hr which means that she covered a distance of 45 kilometers.

The total distance covered by the girl is simply 45+20 =65 kilometers.

The average speed is total distance divided by the total time taken which is 65 kilometers divide by 5 hours. this gives us 13km/h as the average speed of the girl.

Explanation:

The distance covered in first movement :-

Change the speed into km/hrs i.e, 10km/s

converted into :- km/hrs i.e, 36000km/hr

Distance :- 36000×2 = 72000km

In the second movement with a speed of 15km/hrs for 3 hrs :-

Distance = 15×3 = 45km.

Hence, total distance covered is = 72045km.

Average speed will be = 13km\hrs.
