A girl wishes to prepare birthday caps in the form of right circular cones for her birthday party,using a sheet of paper whose area is 5720cm²,how many caps can be made with radius 5cm and height 12cm

height = 12 cm

Slant height(l) =√ (5×5)+(12×12)

l = √3600

l = 60cm

TSA of 1 cone = πr (r+l)

area = 22/7× 5 (5+60)

7150/7 = 1021.42

Number of caps = 5720/1021.42
