Answer: peripatus is a connecting link between arthropods and annelids because it has features of both the phylum.
characters similar to arthropoda: jointed paired appendages , compound eyes , tracheae
characters similar to annelids : worm-like segmented body, non-chitinous cuticle and segmental nephridia.
hence they are called as the connecting link.
