Explanation:

a) (I) SOLUTION :- + A homogeneous mixture of two or more substances is called Solution.

+ It has 2 major components and they are : Solvent & Solute.

EXAMPLES :- A) SUGAR AND SALT SOLUTION

B) DUST FREE AIR

C) BRASS

(II) SUSPENSION :- + A heterogeneous mixtures of insoluble particles of solute, spread throughout a solvent is called Suspension.

+ The size of particles is more than 10^-5 cm in diametre.

+ The particles of suspension can be separated from.solvent by the process of filteration.

EXAMPLE :- A) MUDDY WATER

B) SLAKED LIME WATER

C) PAINTS.

(III) COLLOIDS:- + Heterogeneous nature.

+ The size of particles of colloids of 10^-9 to 10^-7 cm.

+ Separation of colloidal particles by centrifugation.

+ Stability

EXAMPLE :- A) MILK

B) FOG

C) SMOKE

b) Suspension will show the tyndall effect because the big size of particles can be seen from the microscope. And when we show a torch in the solution the light scatters due to the big size of particles and show tyndall effect.
