STANDING WAVES
Explanation:
A standing waves patterns is a vibrational pattern produced within a network when the source's motion frequency results in waves from one side of the medium being reflected to interact with the incident source waves. This intrusion happens in a way where some points in the channel appear to stand still. Since the wave pattern observed is differentiated by points, the pattern is sometimes referred to as a standing wave pattern. These patterns are produced in the medium only at certain vibration frequencies. Such frequencies are referred to as harmonic or simply harmonic frequencies.
Eg. An instance of a standing wave being is the above-mentioned case of plucking the string of a guitar. In addition, it is also a great visual to understand the concept of standing waves, that 2 people shake either end of a jump line.
