A.Given below are two fables from Aesop. Read them and anwer the following questions that follow.
Androcles and the Lion

In ancient Greece, men and women were sold like commodities.People owned slaves, who were treated like animals or perhaps even worse.Androcles was one such slave who was treated very badly by his master.

One day, Androcles decided that he had enough.He took a chance when his master was asleep and ran away.Running, he reached a forest where he decided to take rest. When Androcles woke up he saw a big wild Lion sitting at a distance. He first impulse was to flee, but he saw that the Lion's paw was stuck in a trap laid down by some hunter.

Androcles went near the lion and freed his bleeding paw. He then led the lion to a safe distance and hid him in a cave.The hunters who were searching for the lion were not able to find anything.

For many days,Androcles hunted for himself as well as the lion.While attending to the lion he had forgotten that he was a wanted slave.One day both the lion as well as Androcles were captured by the kings men

The king decided that both the man and the animal should be thrown in an arena after keeping the lion hungry for several days. As the gate of the arena was opened, Androcles feard that the lion would eat him up. But the lion recognized Androcles and started licking his feet.

The king and his ministers were surprised at the strange scene. When they heard the story,the King declared Androcles to be a free man. The lion was also set free in the jungle.
