The resistance of a wire is directly proportional to its length. When length is doubled the resistance doubles. And when it is again doubled, the resistance will increase by a factor of 4 from the initial resistance.

Answer:

The length of wire is doubled on itself and so the area get reduced to half.

The resultant resitance will be 4 times.

The process is repeated and therefore the resistance will increase by 4 times. The total resistance will be increased to 16 times.
