A given number is trebled to get a second number. This number is also trebled to get a third number. The sum of these three numbers is 12 more than 12 times the original number. Find the original number.

let the original number be x

1st number =x

2nd number=3x

3rd number =9x

x + 3x + 9x = 12x + 12

13x = 12x + 12

13x - 12x = 12

x = 12
