A given sample turn pink when drop of phenolphthalein is added it . what is the nature of the sample ? what would be the colour of the same sample when test with methyl orange? short answer​

Phenolphthalein is often used as an indicator in acid–base titrations. For this application, it turns colorless in acidic solutions and pink in basic solutions.

So, if the sample turns pink when drop of phenolphthalein is added to it, it is basic in nature.

Methyl orange shows red color in acidic medium and yellow color in basic medium.

Hence, if methyl orange is added to the same solution which is basic in nature, it will turn yellow.
