A runs at a speed of 10m/s.... so he covers 10 m in 1 sec... Therefore time taken by him to cover 100 m = (1/10)×100 which is equal to 10 sec....
He beats B by 1.25 sec.... Therefore time taken by B =10+1.25=11.25 sec.
