Given :

• Volume of glass = 2000 cc

To find :

• No. of glasses of water can be filled in the sphere of diameter 40 cm.

Solution :

~ Given that, The glass has a volume of 2000cc, We're asked to find how many glasses of water can be filled in the sphere of diameter 40cm, We need to apply the volume of sphere formula(4/3πr³), We'll find the radius first, And then multiply n with the formula given by,

Let the no. of glasses be n.

According to the question,

V = n4/3πr³

∴ Radius = 20

  • Diameter/2 = 40/2 = 20

⟶ V = n × 4/3 × 22/7 × 20 × 20 × 20

⟶ 2000 = n × 4/3 × 22/7 × 8000

⟶ n = 4/3 × 22/7 × 8000/2000

⟶ n = 4/3 × 22/7 × 4

⟶ n = 88/21 × 4

⟶ n = 16

Therefore, Approximately 16 Glasses of water can be filled in the sphere.
