HELLO!!!

Assume the total volume to be V,

Then,

The required equation would be,

V/3+63=5V/8

=> 63=5V/8-V/3

=> 63=7V/24

Therefore=V=(63*24)/7

=216cm3

Hop you get it,

Best of luck!!!!

Answer:

The total volume of the glass is 216 cm³.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the total volume of the glass ( in cm³ ),

∵ the glass is 1/3 full,

So, the volume of the glass which is filled = \frac{1}{3}x

If 5/8th of the glass is filled,

The new volume of the glass which is filled = \frac{5}{8}x

According to the question,

\frac{1}{3}x+63 = \frac{5}{8}x

63 =\frac{5}{8}x-\frac{1}{3}x

63 =\frac{(15-8)x}{24}

63 =\frac{7x}{24}

9 =\frac{x}{24}

\implies x = 9\times 24 = 216

Hence, the total volume of the glass is 216 cm³.
