a glass panel does not form a shadow. why?

Because the glass sheet is transparent we can't see its shadow. When light strikes an object(not transparent) then it can't cross it.So we watch the shadow of the object.A plane glass sheet is transparent and light can pass through it.So we don't see a shadow.
