A glass prism is able to produce a spectrum when light passes through it but a glass slab does not produce any spectrum explain with ray diagram

In a glass slab the glassses are placed parallel, so the net deviation is zero.....

Whereas the glass of the solid prism are placed non parallel and so it gets deviated with a wavelength.
And so we see dispersion of light in it....
