Answer:

Frequency of Note in the rod is given as

f = \frac{N}{2L}\sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu}}

Explanation:

As we know that middle of the rod is clamped so at the mid point of the rod it will form Node

Now due to free ends at both ends of the rod we will get antinodes

So we will have

N\frac{\lambda}{2} = L

\lambda = \frac{2L}{N}

now we have

f = \frac{v}{\lambda}

so we have

f = \frac{Nv}{2L}

here speed of the wave is given as

v = \sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu}}

so we have

f = \frac{N}{2L}\sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu}}
