Answer:

n=5X10^7. Hence the number of electrons is lost is 5X10^7. So glass rod acquires positive charge. Hence it is clear that it lost 5X10^7 electrons

Answer:

Number of Electrons lost by glass rod = 5 x 10⁷

Explanation:

charge q = + 8 x 10⁻¹² C

chrge of electron e = - 1.602 x 10⁻¹⁹ C

q = ne

The number of electrons n = q/e

                                            = 8 x 10⁻¹²/1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹

                                            = 80 x 10⁷/16

                                            = 5 x 10⁷

Since glass rod is positively charged , it loses electrons.

∴  Number of Electrons lost by glass rod = 5 x 10⁷
