A goat is tied to one corner of a square field of side 8m by a rope 3m long. Find the area it
can graze? Also find the area the goat cannot graze.

length of the rope = 3m

so the area of total field = x^{2}

                                        = 8^{2}

                                        = 64 m^{2}

area  the goat graze = \pi r^{2}

                                 = \frac{22}{7} × 3^{2}

                                 = 3.14 × 6

                                 = 18.84 m^{2}

now we must find the 1/4th part of the area of the goat graze because the goat is tied in the corner .

∴ the area that the goat can graze = 18.4/4

                                                           = 4.71 m^{2}

∴ the area that the goat cannot graze = ( 64 - 4.71 )

                                                                = 59.83 m^{2}
