Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Goat is tied to one of the corner of a square field the maximum area is grazed in the form of circle:

Area of square field = 20*20 = 400 sq. m;

Area of circle whose radius is 14 is = \pi 14*14;

Area of circle = 616;

But in the square field only one forth part of the circular area is grazed:

One fourth of 616 is = 616/4 = 154;

So total that is not grazed  = 400 - 154 = 246 sq. m

Solution:-

Area of the field in which the goat can graze

=> πr²/4

=> π(14)²/4

=> 196π/4

=> 49π

=> 49 ×22/7

=> 154 m²

  Area of rectangular field

Area of rectangular field=> l × b

=> 20×20

=> 400m^2

the area that is not grazed= Area of rectangular field - Area of the field in which the goat can graze

=> 400-154

=> 246m^2

The area that is not grazed is 246 m^2
