A godown is in the form of a cuboid of measures 60cm×40cm×30cm. How many cuboidal boxes can be stored in it if the volume of one box is 0.8 cubic meter.

volume of godown = 60×40×30 = 72000 m³

volume of a box = 0.8 m³

so,

number of boxes = 72000/0.8 = 720000/8 = 90000 boxes

First find the volume

which is 60×40×30 =2400 ×30 =72000 cm^3

conversion =1 m =100 cm or 1 cm = 1/100m^3

72000 cm =72000/100m =720m^3
