\huge\mathbb{SOLUTION:-}

\sf\underline{\blue{\:\:\:\:\: Given:-\:\:\:\:\:}}

\sf\bullet S.P\:of\:ring=7200\\ \\ \sf\bullet Loss\%=12\%\\ \\ \sf\bullet C.P=x

Now

\bf\underline{\underline{\red{A.T.Q:-}}}

\sf\implies x-\dfrac{12x}{100}=7200\\ \\ \sf\implies \dfrac{100x-12x}{100}=7200\\ \\ \sf\implies 88x=7200\times 100\\ \\ \sf\implies x=\dfrac{7200\times 100}{88}\\ \\ \sf\implies x=81.8181\times 100\\ \\ \sf\implies x=8181.81

\boxed{\sf{\dag{\:\:C.P\:of\:Gold\:ring=8181.81\: rupee}}}

\huge\bold\green{Question}

A gold ring was sold for rupees 7200 at a loss of 12% find its cost price

\huge\bold\green{Answer}

According to the question we have given :-

•°• Selling Price of ring = 7200

•°• Loss percentage = 12%

•°• Cost Price = x

\begin{lgathered}\tt = x-\dfrac{12x}{100}=7200\\ \\ \tt = \dfrac{100x-12x}{100}=7200\\ \\ \tt = 88x=7200\times 100\\ \\ \tt =  x=\dfrac{7200\times 100}{88}\\ \\ \tt = x=81.8181\times 100\\ \\ \tt = x=8181.81\end{lgathered}

Hence , the required Cost Price of ring is Rs. 8181.81
