A golden coloured cube is handed you. The person wants you to buy it for $100 saying that is gold nugget. you pull out your old geology text and look up gold in the the mineral table and read this its density is 19.3/cm3 . you measure the cube and find that it's 2cm in each side and weighs 40g. What density is it gold should you buy it​

density =  g/cm3

therefore density of the cube = 40 / (2*2*2)

= 40 / 8

= 5g/cm3

As from the geology book says that gold's density is 19.3g/cm3, this cube with 5g/cm3 is far away from that given value is not a gold, therefore, you should not buy it.
