"WE LIVE IN DEEDS NOT IN YEAR"

In fact life is not measured by number of years we live in the world. It is measured by our work that we do in life.If a man spends his life in idleness then the life is not worth living. It is not the years but the deeds that count. Length of life does not make life perfect and better.Perfection in life is not judged by its length. But it is always judged by noble deeds.A short life of grace and beauty is better than a lengthy life of no glorious deeds.

Everyone wants to live long. But long life is useless if spent in idleness.A man does not do much in the long period of his life.It is only a small fraction of life that he does something great. So this small part of life is superior to a long life of idleness.

To burn for a moment is better than throwing smoke for hours.Jesus Christ, Alexander, Keats, Kennedy lived for a short time. But they sparked like gems. They did something great that others could not imagine to do even in a long life of hundred years. We forget those who do nothing for the world while people who have done great deeds live in our minds even after their death.

Our life must be full of action. We should be ready to face hardships if we want to shine in the world. We must avoid life of ease and comfort. An idle mind is vacant. He doesn't contribute to the society rather he thinks of his own comfort.

Life without ideals is nothing. All great men have some ideals in mind. Mahatma Gandhi and Lenin had the ideal of serving their nations. Keats inspired himself to get success in English poetry.

Life is short; we have to do a lot of work.We should not waste a single moment in idleness. A short life of glory is really worth living. So it is said "We Live In Deeds Not In Year"

                                                     Humanizing

Community, according to a standard dictionary is defined as a group of people or a sense of place that is situated in a given geographical area, for example, a village, a town or a neighborhood.

Ever since I was little, I wanted to make some changes in my community. Then these changes were quite juvenile, but as I grew up my theories changed, now I think of it in a completely different way.

Today, we live in a modern world. Everything around us is moving fast, so we have to keep up a pace with time. Usually we hear that India is changing, our thoughts are changing and many such fascinating things, but, what is ironical about it is the fact that our thinking pattern and outlook is still the same as it was years before.

I am not expressing that India has not progressed, but the truth is that this progress is localized only to major cities and urban areas. My community, where I reside is also barred from such progress. So, to improve this situation I have decided to utilize a number of hours every month. At first I thought of improving the environment of my locality and increasing its splendor, but after reviewing on the philosophical aspects, I chose to enhance the attitude of my society towards life and other people, I will try to advance its ideology.

Therefore, to improve my community one of the most vital thing that I will do would be spreading awareness about new thoughts and philosophical ideas from the globe. My society still thinks of the world as it was thinking decades before. Their beliefs are still conventional. If I am going to change something, the first step that I will take will be persuading people for the change.

The reason for the backwardness of my neighborhood lies in their traditional beliefs, their discriminating nature and their orthodox principals. Many people in my community still discriminate between male and female. Allowing the women to discover and explore new thoughts and ideas are against their belief. They still exercise discrimination whether it is among religion or caste or gender. They have not still given up their established ideology about the world. Modern education, according to them doesn’t give any substantial knowledge about life. They believe that the success of a man lies in becoming financially strong and that of a woman in becoming a good householder. They neither emphasize on seeing the academic achievements of a person nor on providing higher education to a woman.

Scrutinizing all these beliefs and principals, it can be inferred that the first step that must be taken to improve this state, is enhancing and improving the ideology of the society. If I want to change the environment and condition of my community the step that I’ll take would be changing people’s mind and philosophy. I will start some awareness discussions and try to influence people about changing their ideology. If people will start thinking rationally and change their mind then other major changes like increasing literacy, women empowerment, etc., will be seen spontaneously. The veracity is that the problem is in our mind, all we have to do is to remove it. Someone has said:-

"When we are no longer able to change a

Situation - we are challenged to change

                                                    Ourselves"

                                                                          Viktor E. Frankly
