- A goods train 250m long is running at a speed of 33km/hr. Behind it another mail train 200m long and running at a speed of 60km/hr. It is runniung in same direction on a different track & after meeting the goods train ovrepasses it. Let us find how long will the mail train take to overpass the goods train.​

speed = 33km/hr.

Length of mail train = 200 m

and speed = 60km/hr.

By the question, we have

since, both the train move same direction. so, their relative velocity = 60 km/hr - 33km/hr

= 27km/hr

27 \times  \frac{5}{18}  =  \frac{15}{2} m \: per \: sec \\

.°. total time to that the mail train take to Passover goods train

 =  \frac{d}{v}  =  \frac{250 + 200}{  \frac{15}{2}  }  =  \frac{450 \times 2}{15}  \\  = 60sce \:  \\  = 1min
